![]() I then turned off the computer and connected another drive to one of the SATA ports and then the NVME drive mysteriously showed beneath the other drive. When SSD’s are bought they are unintialized meaning that they have never been formatted and that is why I believe it wasn’t displaying Disk Utility when I when format it. When I popped in my Samsung 960 NVME fresh out of its plastic and loaded up my High Sierra USB installer I was shocked to see the drive not displaying, despite the fact that their should have been native support for third party NVME drives with High Sierra.
